It's Almost THAT Time of Year...

How on earth I managed to have two children, two years apart, born in the same month, I will never know...but believe me, it was meant to be. I am not someone who plans extravagant parties or outings or get-togethers. I'm always flying by the seat of my pants and rarely have any kind of plan. All that being said, it is a blessing that until my children are old enough to plan their own birthday parties, I need only plan ONE...and it's coming up here in just a couple weeks.

Noel's birthday is Wednesday. He'll be 3, and he's already showing many of the "fun" characteristics of a 3 year old. He's got a bad case of the "It's Mine"s and "I Want It!"s, and if you ask him if he'd like to try out his Diego potty he loudly says, "NO!" Just so you know, 75-85% of the time, he is darling and sweet, but since he no longer naps, by the end of the day, he's pretty much a bear. Thankfully, they go to bed at 7 PM.

Lennon will be 1 on the 19th. I am sure this is common, but I feel like he aged a lot more than Noel did in the first year. He's been saying words and babbling for about 7 months already, is starting to walk (and took his first steps almost a month ago!), and he's TOUGH. It's been quite a year for him (and us)-getting used to two kids, having a big brother to contend with, etc. I'm pretty sure at this point Noel has less than 10 lbs. on him, and once he starts walking, I've got a feeling there will be lots more wrestling and roughhousing. Lennon is sweet, curious, cuddly, and wonderful.

For their birthdays, we're going to The Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of days of indoor water park fun. I'll be live blogging this over at MumsTheWurd! I'm sure there will be some funny moments, so be sure to check in, or check my Twitter stream for updates...

How did this happen? How did I get here? When did I become a mother of TWO boys? Although there are days when I complain, and days that I yell, and days that we all cry, I would not trade this for the world. I would give up anything for this cute little family of mine. My family. OUR family. I can't believe this is my life, and I'm beyond lucky that it is.
